"Knife" by Sarah Ellis

Students read the story and annotated the text for plot and literary elements. We are focusing on flashback and how it adds to the effectivness of the story.

Students completed a plot diagram and realize that a story my end at the climax. See example below:



We are taking a closer look at flashback and examining how it helps the reader understand character's motivation and conflict. Students chose a video and complete the following handout for it.
